At least 13 school district boards have spots up for election on Nov. 3, 2026 on a ballot with high-profile contests for U.S. Senate and Texas Governor.
School boards govern the districts’ direction and progress toward goals. They also oversee taxes, budgets, curriculum and school closures. Collectively, trustees across these districts will make decisions for more than 300,000 students.

- Friendswood ISD
- Huffman ISD
- Klein ISD
- New Caney ISD
- Sheldon ISD
- Splendora ISD
- Spring ISD
- Tomball ISD
- Willis ISD
