Drury receives $1.5 million in matching funds from O’Reilly, Wooten families

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Drury University has received a generous donation for its 150th anniversary.

The O’Reilly and Wooten families have pledged to give Drury $1.5 million in matching funds, according to a Feb. 14 press release.

The matching funds will go to the Fortify the Future campaign as part of the O’Reilly-Wooten 150th Anniversary Challenge. For the challenge, any donations for the Drury Student Success Fund made from now to May 31, 2024, will have their donation fully matched.

“The O’Reilly and Wooten families are happy to offer this 150th anniversary year challenge as a way to thank Drury for all it has done for us and to celebrate its bright future that lies ahead,” said Rosalie O’Reilly Wooten. “We hope many friends and graduates of the university will join us in the celebration and step up to help meet the challenge!”

Donors can choose to designate their gift to the Student Success Fund to one or more categories, including scholarships and financial aid, student services, faculty and academic programs, facilities or any other needs that will most impact student success.
