A man was arraigned Monday on multiple felony charges, including attempted murder and rape, in connection with two violent incidents involving an adult and a juvenile, the office of San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced Thursday.
In the first case, Sergio Sanchez Horta is accused of picking up a juvenile in a white van, sexually assaulting her at gunpoint, and later releasing her, prosecutors said.
