TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for child exploitation crimes, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Amontea Allen John Mitchell previously pleaded guilty to attempted enticement of a minor, attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Mitchell was arrested as part of an undercover operation, “Operation Fool’s End,” which aimed to identify and arrest people using the internet to sexually exploit children.
Mitchell sent explicit photos to who he believed was a minor and asked the child to send photos back, according to court documents…
