PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Thousands of people filled downtown Portland on Sunday as the city hosted its annual Pride Parade, one of the largest parades in Oregon and among the biggest Pride parades in the Pacific Northwest.
Portland’s Pride events have long served as a celebration and a show of support for the LGBTQ+ community, and for many attendees they are also a reminder that the city can be a safe place.
