Tires come off semi-truck, crush minivan on I-5 in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) – Tires detached from a moving semi-truck and hit a minivan on Interstate 5 in Vancouver Thursday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.

The incident happened at about 7:40 a.m. just north of Mill Plain Boulevard. WSP said two tires came off a trailer of a semi-truck that was going northbound. The tires then crossed the jersey barrier and hit a southbound minivan that was stopped in traffic.

The driver of the minivan, a 33-year-old woman from Vancouver, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries…
