A bear ran off into a better habitat Tuesday afternoon after Colorado Parks & Wildlife officials removed it from north Louisville and took it away from neighborhoods.
The male bear was likely hanging around Louisville’s North Open Space for a few weeks, according to Parks & Wildlife spokesperson Kara Van Hoose. Officials darted and relocated the bear because it wasn’t leaving the area, where it had climbed a tree, on its own, according to a Parks & Wildlife post on X.
