(NEXSTAR) – For the first time in years, Memorial Day is landing on the earliest date possible, bringing you a three-day weekend well before the calendar flips to June.
If the holiday’s early arrival caught you off guard and in short supply of cookout goods, beach day essentials or other necessities, you’re in luck. Unlike other major holidays, most businesses and restaurants are open on Memorial Day.
There are some businesses and services that will not be operating. That includes banks, libraries, and other government entities, as well as the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, and Amazon.

Also closed on Memorial Day are Costco and Raising Cane’s, which means no $1.50 hot dog deal or Cane’s Sauce for the day…
