Two convicted for trafficking narcotics into Clinton County

District Attorney commended law enforcement for preventing NYC drugs from hitting local streets

PLATTSBURGH | Clinton County District Attorney Andrew J. Wylie has announced two recent convictions of individuals arrested and charged with trafficking large quantities of narcotics from New York City into Clinton County.

On May 21, Perry Dickson appeared in Clinton County Court and pled guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Dickson was arrested on Jan. 12, after fleeing on foot from the scene of a traffic stop involving a vehicle in which he was a passenger. Once apprehended, law enforcement discovered a package containing nearly nine ounces of cocaine taped to his leg. Dickson is scheduled to be sentenced on July 23 and is expected to receive a nine-year prison term followed by five years of post-release supervision…
