South San Jose Garage Blaze Jams Street, Firefighters Snuff It Fast
Yesterday's garage fire on the 5100 block of Severance Court in South San José sent firefighters racing into the neighborhood, briefly tangling traffic before crews knocked the flames down in about half an hour. Everyone inside the home got out, and firefighters quickly shifted into overhaul to chase lingering hot spots. Officials have not yet said what sparked the blaze.
