(Des Moines, IA) — The final piece of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority, or DART, network overhaul launches Monday, September 28th.
Starting Monday, DART On Demand Service launches in Altoona, and a new On Demand Zone launches for Clive and Urbandale. Service in Altoona, Urbandale, and Clive will run Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm.
Additionally, Ankeny, riders will now be able to book rides in real time using the DART On Demand app, rather than having to book rides in advance. DART Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer Luis Montoya says the expansion is part of the overall goal of DART’s network overhaul: “A big goal is to connect people to major destinations.
