ROCKFORD — Madison Carlson, who starred at South Beloit High School and Rock Valley College before capping her college career as a standout at Northern Illinois University, has been hired as an assistant softball coach by the Golden Eagles.
Rock Valley College head softball coach and athletic director Darin Monroe announced the hiring of Carlson and another former Golden Eagle, Jenna Davis, on Monday.
“We are incredibly thrilled to welcome Madison and Jenna back home,” Monroe stated in a press release. “Both of them epitomize what it means to be a Golden Eagle. They won at the highest level here, went on to achieve great success at the Division 1 level and now they bring that elite experience back to mentor our current student-athletes…
