WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (First Alert 4) – A Belleville man was charged Friday with attempted murder and related crimes, accused of shooting a person multiple times.
The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged 40-year-old Charles E. Little Jr., of Belleville, Illinois, with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender. He is being held at the St. Clair County Jail.
According to the Illinois State Police, they were called to assist with a shooting investigation on April 20 in the area of 47th Street and Caseyville Avenue in Washington Park. Police say they found a person suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene when they arrived. That person was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries…
