Swatting Incident Reported Tuesday at LPS Elementary School

LINCOLN–(KFOR May 5)–A Lincoln elementary school was the victim of a swatting incident Tuesday afternoon, prompting Lincoln Public Schools and Lincoln Police to take action.

According to LPD, the main office at Calvert Elementary School got a call from someone with a San Francisco area code and a male voice on the line made threats toward the school and everyone inside. LPD says school administrators followed LPS district policy and put the school in secure mode, which has since been lifted and students were allowed to go home at dismissal time.

LPD had officers immediately respond to the scene and cleared the building, along with LPS security and school administrators. No threats were found and it was determined to be a swatting call…
