Nearly three months after Becks Prime capped off a 35-year-run at 11000 Westheimer Rd. in West Houston, the word is out on its replacement. Smokeroom BBQ has announced its impending arrival to the Westchase/Briar Forest area.
Smokeroom BBQ revealed its future location April 26 on social media. Smokeroom’s video showed its banners already hanging around the former Becks space, teasing slow-smoked meats, classic sides and bold Texas flavor.
Wednesday, Smokeroom BBQ moved forward with its expansion plans by filing a permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. According to the submitted project details, which are subject to change, Smokeroom intends to remodel and complete a kitchen expansion of the existing 3,398-square-foot restaurant property. Construction for the $320,000 project is expected to begin in August and finish by March 2027.
