Mississippi leads nation in heart-disease deaths as blood clot awareness campaign launches with free help

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Mississippi leads the nation in heart-disease deaths, according to the National Blood Clot Alliance. The organization said missed blood-clot warning signs are a major reason. The alliance is on a mission to raise awareness and help save lives.

The National Blood Clot Alliance set up a free clinic at the We Are One United Methodist Church in Jackson to give people checkups at no charge.
