FLOWOOD — Flowood will officially unveil and adopt its first municipal flag Monday evening during the city’s regularly scheduled Board of Aldermen meeting at City Hall.
The ceremony is set for 6 p.m. at Flowood City Hall, located at 2101 Airport Road, and marks the first time the city has formally adopted an official flag since incorporating in 1989.
City leaders said the flag was chosen through a student design competition launched earlier this year under the direction of Mayor Kathy Smith.
