Company seeking to rezone Forest Avenue property for Jackson data center

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A day after the Jackson City Council tabled a temporary ban on data centers, WLBT is learning that a rezoning application for a data center is expected to go to the Planning Board for consideration next week.

Saxum Investment Company LLC is seeking to rezone approximately 190 acres to I-2 Industrial along Forest Avenue for the construction of a data center.

A hearing on the request is expected to be held before the Planning Board on May 27…
